Please watch your tracking closely! During the summer months, bring your package in as soon as you know it's been delivered to prevent melting. Before opening, give it a few hours to adjust to room temperatures.

When it's hot, we ship your tallow with small ice packs in an insulated box to help prevent melting, but it can only stay cool for so long.  Tallow hardens when cold and softens when warm.  This is why you can experience different consistencies in different environments.  As temperatures rise, be mindful not to leave your tallow in a hot car or on your porch for to long after delivery, as it is likely to melt.

While tallow can change its texture based on current temperatures - it will not lose nutritional integrity.  This resilience is one of the unique benefits of tallow!
