Only Jesus

amy • November 8, 2019

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Isaiah 41:13

Laying it at the feet of Jesus again and again and again.  I exchange my exhaustion for His endless grace. My self-sufficiency for His all-sufficiency.  My weariness for His strength. My discouragement for His peace and my brokenness for His complete wholeness.  Only Jesus.

Because so often I am not feeling well, my faith needs to be rooted way deeper than my feelings. These earthly feelings will always deceive, but the truth of God and His word will never waiver or fail.  So on days like today when it all becomes too much, I flood my mind and body with the promises of my Lord and Savior.

Grab hold of these promises with me today and surround yourself with His truth. Turn the praise and worship music up in your house. Mine is already on shuffle right beside me with my favorite playlist.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all."

2 Corinthians 4:16-17

"What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it—we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are. But that’s also why the world doesn’t recognize us or take us seriously, because it has no idea who he is or what he’s up to."

1 John 3:1

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose."

Romans 8:28

"For nothing will be impossible with God."

Luke 1:37

"The Lord is good to all; has compassion on all he has made."

Psalm 145:9

"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

Psalm 18:2

When all that you are facing becomes too overwhelming, remember God is fighting for you.  Stand on His word as a promise.  Use His word as a weapon against the enemy.  Don't forget that it's alive, active and sharper than any two-edged sword.  Spend time in His presence.  There you will find the promises He has made to you.  There you will find the strength you need to keep going.  Remember that "The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still"  Exodus 14:14.

Praying for so many of you precious ladies this afternoon who are walking through valleys and in the thick of it with me.  I would love to lift anyone else up who is struggling, needs prayer or who just needs to know that they are not alone. You can always message me. Keep praying, keep believing, keep clinging to the hope that is in the name of Jesus.  You ARE loved and you have not been forgotten.

Nine years ago today, a line was drawn between before and after. Life changed completely for our family and the hard began in ways I never could have imagined.

Remedy was born from our personal journey to soothe and bring relief to our daughter’s severe eczema. What started as a simple way to care for her skin has grown into something deeply meaningful for our family.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22-23

"How beautiful are the feet of the man that came for me. How beautiful are the scars that tell me just how kind you are... My Jesus."
